Qantas Holidays has expanded its programme of fly-cruise options for departure dates up to mid-2010. The operator has teamed up with cruise providers such as Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and The Yachts of Seabourn to deliver itineraries to destinations such as the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. Among the new offerings is the Jewels of the Far East cruise, which is a 14-night journey that departs from Singapore that calls in at Indonesia, Malaysia, Phuket and Kuala Lumpur. Another of the new routes is the Delights Down Under package, which sails out of Sydney on Diamond Princess for a 12-night trip to Melbourne, Hobart, and New Zealand's Fiordland. "The new cruise options now available will appeal to an array of customers from first-timers to families, cruise aficionados to honeymooners and will suit an array of budgets," said Qantas Holidays general manager Nick Crabb. World Expeditions recently announced a new trip inspired by the BBC One programme Lost Land of the Volcano to explore Papua New Guinea.
